Jolin, unlike other singers, she have her own attitude towards singing. Her latest album, Magic (Kan Wo 72 Bian), has topped in many "Pai Hang Bang" these few weeks. The highest record being top for 12 weeks was finally broken by Elva Hsiao's latest album, Ai Shang Ai. 12 weeks!!! Incredible!!!
Unfortunately, her career slid downhill in early 2002, thanks to a legal tussle about her contract. Because of the court case, Jolin was stuck in cold storage for almost two years.
Thankfully, the case has been settled and Jolin signed on with a new manager, as well as a new record label. She's also starred in her maiden acting effort as a happy-go-lucky girl who gets bullied in the office. But she declares that no one dares to bully her like that in real life.
The rough patch also hasn't extinguished Jolin's love for music and fashion, and her brand-new album Magic is proof of that! A brilliant mix of up-tempo tunes perfect for the dance floor and ballads for the most romantic night out, Magic sold 80,000 copies in just three days, an amazing feat for someone who's been out of the limelight for so long!
